Once home an inspection of the damage showed the car was still in mostly factory paint, and apart from a crunched wing and creased bonnet and door, in pretty good shape.
A parts list was made up and to keep costs to a minimum, the only panel to be bought was a new wing. All other panels were to be repaired, or lived with.
All in all I was pretty pleased with my purchases, a 2.0 for nothing and a straight escort for peanuts.
