At this point I was offered a partially stripped MK2 Mexico with serious rust. This donated the Dash panel, Gearbox mount genuine front and rear spoilers Propshaft Alloy bellhousing etc I also now had an alloy sump, so my cut and shut job, wasn’t used after all.
A splash of paint on all the bits that wasn’t red and she didn’t look to bad at all. Throw on some Capri Laser alloys with new tyres and the Escort was back on the road for the first time in years.
The 1300 Sport Decals were modified to read 2000 Sport, and she was put into daily service.
